Tropicans,
Tropico 6 has been out since March 2019 – and through the years, El Presidente has proven that he truly owns the best nation with the greatest citizens (AKA: YOU <3) anyone could wish for.
With the (so-called) ‘help’ of Penultimo, we have listed some glorious highlights of the past 23 updates we’ve published for Tropico 6. Ready your ballots-UHM balloons, the (totally not real) llama piñatas & banana-flavoured popcorn and let’s celebrate El Presidente’s greatness (made possible, of course, only because of YOU)!
Update 5 “El Gigante”
We’re starting with a banger: 3 months after the release of Tropico 6, “El Gigante” was published, addressing the feedback of our lovely presidential community. The Update added over 300 changes, including balancing adjustments and many bug and crash fixes – enabling an even smoother gameplay experience from then on.
Update 6 “El Gato”
“El Gato” added the new Sandbox map ‘Ireland’ (YouTuber RT Gaming’s Community created map), a colour blind mode, and customization items for El Presidente – he’s never looked so good!

Update 6.2 “La Calabaza”
Not long after that, Update 6.2, “La Calabaza”, brought spooky seasonal joy with a Halloween-themed main menu, Autumnal foliage, pumpkins, and a special palace customization.

Update 7 “Seguridad Social”
“Seguridad Social” added a new building (“Warehouse”), a new Sandbox Map (“Rio”) and the Social Security edict.

Update 7.1 “Feliz Navidad”
“Feliz Navidad” added the Christmas event to Tropico 6. El PresiSantadente himself bestows snow upon the island each Christmas (the snow may or may not have been “imported” from Northern regions)

Update 8 “Edificio de Estacionamientos”
“Edificio de Estacionamientos” took a turn to the adventurous by adding pirate attacks.

Update 9 “Nueve Guagua”
“Nueve Guagua” enabled cross-play multiplayer support for our GOG players.
Update 9.1 “Noches de Arabia”
With “Noches de Arabia”, Arabic language support was introduced, expanding El Presidente’s influence across the world.
Update 10 “Guerra de Guerrillas”
“Guerra de Guerrillas”, gave you more control with the ability to pause and relocate buildings as well as an improved Guerrilla behaviour.
Update 11 “La Misteriosa Palmera”
“La Misteriosa Palmera” added 4 new sandbox maps and Brazilian Portuguese language support.

Update 12 “Órdenes de emergencia”
“Órdenes de emergencia” expanded gameplay with 2 new sandbox maps for Singleplayer, the new ‘Tropico Papers’ edict, and the Teamster emergency jobs.
Update 13 “Esparcidor de Estiércol“
With “Esparcidor de Estiércol”, El Prez generously provided housing (or at least a roof) to the poor with the “Flophouse” building – this Update also added the “Manure Spreader” (all that llama poo is finally useful) as well as 3 new multiplayer maps.

Update 14 “El gran resumen”
“El gran resumen” provided yet another 3 multiplayer maps as well as the “Resource Overview” tab of the Almanac, detailing each resource (better boost that Gold production…).

Update 15 “Entretenimiento de músicos callejeros”
“Entretenimiento de músicos callejeros” added even more ways to steal-UHM kindly ‘borrow’ money from Tropican pedestrians with “The Busker”! It also introduced the ability to give custom names to citizens and buildings (we definitely did not name every citizen Kaarl…).

Update 16 “Vigilancia y seguridad“
So that citizens continue feeling like somebody’s watching them, “Vigilancia y seguridad” added the Cold War building “Secure Mansion” and the Modern military building “Overwatchtower”.

Update 18 “Locura Cripto”
Want to enter the (totally safe and 100% legit) Crypto business? With the modern building “Tropocoin Farm” from the “Locura Cripto” Update, this was made possible! (El Presidente is not liable for any monetary losses). This Update also added the modern building “Offshore Wind Turbine” as well as the Creative Mode for Sandbox games, offering even more settings to rule (benevolently, of course).

Update 19 “De sopetón“
“De sopetón“ added the Cold War landmark „The Moon Lander” – because El Presidente’s moon landing was NOT fake!

Update 20 “Tropico Arde Eternamente“
Another landmark – “the Eternal Flame” was added with “Tropico Arde Eternamente“.It’s a true Tropican Easter wonder!

Update 21 “Chozas, Desapareced“
“Chozas, Desapareced“ introduced the “No more shacks” edict to prevent Tropicans from building shacks that disturb the breathtaking view from the pristine palace balcony

Update 22 “Acuerdos entre amigos”
With “Acuerdos entre amigos”, players could send wares to other players in multiplayer via the “Trading Post” building.

Update 23 “Eternamente Verde“
“Eternamente Verde“ is all about the green – no, not the money (well... yes, also the money) but trees! Players now had the ability to place individual trees & decorations as well as a Custom Park Building. This Update also added a new search tab for buildings to the Construction Menu – for easier access to El Presidente’s grand designs!

The Tropican Ministry of Binary Magic would like to thank you for your attention – if you want to read up on the details of each Update, you can find the separate changelogs on Steam!
Until then,
