We have just released Update 1.6 for Commandos: Origins for all available platforms.
This update introduces a new Story Mode difficulty, improves overall balance, and delivers a wide range of fixes across AI, multiplayer, and core gameplay systems.

Story Mode (New Difficulty)
We’ve added a new Story Mode difficulty to let players experience the campaign and DLC missions without getting stuck on challenging encounters.
More ammunition and ability charges
Designed for a smoother, story-focused experience
Also allows experimenting with equipment normally gated behind pickups
Bonus Achievement
A Soldier’s Best Tool Since 1939
Eliminate 3 enemies at once using an explosive barrel
Global Balancing Changes
Enemies
Enemy health now varies based on unit type and difficulty
Normal soldiers and workers are more vulnerable on higher difficulties
High-ranking officers are tougher on lower difficulties
Added a short delay before enemies raise the alarm after spotting a commando
Vehicles
Reduced damage when vehicles collide with obstacles at low speed
Explosive trucks are now more durable
Explosive truck canisters now behave like standard explosive barrels
SMGs and pistols deal more damage to vehicles
Weapons & Abilities
Increased range of the M1911 pistol
Luger pistol: reduced ammo on higher difficulties, but can eliminate enemies in one shot
AT grenade: increased damage to vehicles and larger effective range
Landmines: larger trigger radius and reduced noise
Ammo and ability charges rebalanced across all difficulties
Bug Fixes
Command Mode
Fixed issues where commands were not executed correctly
Fixed Sniper Double Kill failures when using Command Mode
Improved reliability of movement to execution positions
Multiplayer & Co-op
Fixed an issue where enemies could stand up incorrectly
Fixed multiple pointer placement issues
Improved pointer accuracy on moving targets
AI & Enemy Behavior
Fixed inconsistencies in enemy behavior before and after loading
Fixed AI routines not executing correctly in certain situations
General Fixes & Improvements
AI lights now properly reveal the player
Sound Decoy can now be used from climbable positions
Players are no longer detected while on climbables
Fixed several AI sliding / stuttering issues
Fixed vehicle kills not counting toward stats
Improved minimap responsiveness
Minor UI and stat screen improvements
UI & Misc
DLC window now features a “Shop” button
Added tutorial clarification in the Harbour mission (Marine objective)
