Disciples!
For our second Christmas treat, we’re sharing some exclusive background information about the regions of Disciples: Domination!
As you travel through the dark and corrupted world of Nevendaar, you’ll come across 5 factions, each with a dedicated region in the game:
🏰 The Empire
🧝♂️ The Elves
👹 The Legion of the Damned
💀 The Undead Hordes
🏔️ The Mountain Clans (the returning faction of Disciples: Domination!)
We’ve already shared some screenshots of these 5 regions on our social media channels (e.g. https://www.facebook.com/DisciplesTheGame/posts/pfbid02ArX4Pwh7Srr2EQPna5QyuW3dR7N5FGYVT7uNFoST8ThRncQn32GuXPmgTnm38EEXl)
And now, we want to shine a light on their lore – so you’ll be able to rule through their chaos!
The Empire region – The Wulf Coast
The Empire region of Disciples: Domination is centred around the domain of Countess Wolfheart – the ruler of this region. The old faith has torn apart the region. Dwarven and Elven attacks add even more chaos to this troubled land…
Wolfheart’s Port:
A small port where fishermen and merchants arrive in Wolfheart’s domain. The place is sparsely populated, clearly trade isn’t at its best. This is the start of the region and where the first main quest is launched.

Wolfheart’s domain and town:
The more civilized places in the region, as well as the heart of the Empire’s influence. The town is fortified, but not as much as Wolfheart’s domain, the seat of power of the Countess.

The power vacuum left by the Veil's destruction by Avyanna and the subsequent revelations concerning the Highfather, the oldest being in existence, sent the Church into disarray – resulting in the most important crisis of the faith known to this day.
The Rebirth, a fanatic cult born after the events of Disciples: Liberation as a reaction to the dissolution of the Veil, is destabilizing the Empire and its region. They seem to be devoted to the Highfather and want to rekindle his dying church.
The objective is for Avyanna to understand the state of the realm she has left unattended, and to investigate this Rebirth cult. Countess Wolfheart is holed up in her court, mired in complaints by knights and various notaries of the region. This is where Avyanna meets a particularly tenacious knight, Ethel. She will not leave until the Countess has made her stance on the Rebirth clear: She wants to eradicate them.

The Elven region – Elma’ar
The Elven region of Disciples: Domination is split between the Feral elves’ territory and the Noble elves’ territory. Their conflict is escalating and the Empire’s presence in the woods isn’t helping the situation. Rebellion against Ormeriel (a companion from Disciples: Liberation) is brewing as Galthiel’s followers are showing more signs of violence and indignation. Plus, strange veins of corrupted mana are starting to overflow from the Skyless Grove, a dungeon located in the Bloodtree’s forest.
Many elves hope to one day be united with the Bloodtrees, but most are content to wait for the afterlife. Not the Crimson Elves. Their entire existence, from the first moment of their waking lives to the end of this world, follows the beat of sacred, ancient arteries.

The bloodtree’s forest is a sacred place tended by blood elves. The river is corrupted by mana, resulting in the corruption of some of the bloodtrees. Melendrach (a companion from Disciples: Liberation) has been using all his powers to try and communicate with the bloodtrees, but this has backfired: he is now trapped in their roots. In order to save him, Avyanna must gain access to the Skyless Grove and help the blood shamans with the sick, corrupted bloodtrees.

The Legion of the Damned region – The Plains of Agthos
The Legion of the Damned region of Disciples: Domination is filled with conflict and chaos. Avyanna's envoys have gone missing, prompting her to investigate. A message from Illmeren, her captured spymaster (and companion from Disciples: Liberation), leads her to the Tower of Jubilation, an ancient demon stronghold where she’s being held.

Upon arrival, Avyanna discovers that a brutal war has erupted between the Demons and the Undead, fighting for the control of the region. The Undead already claimed the south of the region and used a powerful spell to poison and isolate the city of Agthos. The curse has left a thick fog around Agthos ruins, killing every living entity going near it.

The Undead Hordes region – The Severed Lands
Avyanna visits the Undead Hordes region of Disciples: Domination after settling the conflict in the Legion of the Damned region – to discover what is happening to the Undead Hordes.
The Severed Lands are one of Nevendaar's vilest scars and corrupted mana has caused disturbance in the region. The earth still bears the traces of Mortis’ wrath, and the remnants of the very first people she eradicated.
The Undead Hordes have been fighting the Legion of the Damned because of a new leader who is looking for something hidden in their area. Moreover, the Council created by Ejamar is out for blood, trying to kill him.

The Veiled Tower, located north of the Misty Marshes, is full of traces of old rituals, candles and summon circles. The Tower is surrounded by a strange mist and is guarded by a lone death knight: The Guardian of the Tower.
The tower acts as a lighthouse for the souls of the dead. But corrupted mana has unsettled the tower’s function. It cannot guide the souls of the dead as it did before. Avyanna must find a way to help the Guardian with this problem.

The Land of the Undying Lords is the birthplace of necromancy and even predates the reign of Mortis on the Undead. This place is filled with traces of the civilization of ancient necromancers, but covered by vegetation and mushrooms. You can feel that everything in this area is ancient and nature has slowly taken back control.

The Mountain Clans region – The Great Hollow
The Dwarven region of Disciples: Domination is isolated and hidden deep underground – and will be the last leg of Avyanna’s journey (so we don’t want to spoil too much 😉.)
It is said that when Wotan gave life to the Dwarves, he was surprised to see them flee from the surface of Nevendaar to find comfort in the depths of the mountains. The Great Hollow is one of the Mountain Clans’ many secret cities, and one of the few that still welcomes the last members of this dwindling civilization. Together with Helmer – a new companion in Disciples: Domination and a descendant of the keepers of the Griffin Heights – Avyanna is exploring the region to find the truth.
Once Avy reaches the border to the inhabited parts of the city, she realizes that she won't be able to progress without some help from the locals.

The Steel Hand Fort is the starting point of Avyanna’s main quest in the region and the entrance to the Dwarven city. It was built by the Dwarves who fled to this region, who ensured that the only entrance to their hidden city was heavily guarded. Helmer’s stepfather is the Fort’s commander.

Outside the Dwarven city lies an underground lake and the Plains of Firmament. There, Dwarves use mirrors to bring the sun’s light into the depth and grow crops to feed themselves. The Crystal Garden on the side of the lake is full of colourful gems and a Rock Lord is taking care of this beautiful, ancient place.

We hope you enjoyed this look behind the background of the regions in Disciples: Domination – and we can’t wait for you to explore them yourselves!
Until then: rule through the chaos, Disciples!
